Sandra Rivera is a solo practitioner for The Law Offices of Sandra Rivera P.A. founded in 2012. Her firm, located in Altamonte Springs, has provided the Central Florida community with quality representation in the areas of criminal defense, family law, and landlord/tenant to name a few.
Sandra began her career in 2002 as an Assistant State Attorney for the 9th Judicial Circuit in Orange County. During this time she prosecuted multiple cases ranging in severity from minor traffic offenses to sex crimes and child abuse and conducted over fifty (50) jury trials as lead prosecutor. She then chose to go into private practice with her trial partner where they focused primarily on criminal defense. In 2011, she decided to pursue her goal of opening her practice and has been doing so with great success.
Sandra is dually licensed in Illinois and had the opportunity to serve as an administrative judge for three years presiding over appeals to the Department of Healthcare and Family Services.
She is a proud 1999 graduate of Salem College, a liberal arts institution for women in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and of Florida State University School of Law in 2001.
Sandra is a member of the Orange County Bar Association, Seminole County Bar Association, Hispanic Bar Association and proudly serves as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem for the Orange County Legal Aid Society.
